After ISKL, I attended the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia graduating Bachelor of Science (Chemistry). I was fortunate that Mum and Dad stayed on in KL till 1980 then moved on to Bangkok for four years so I continued to call KL “home” for many years. From uni I entered the pharmaceutical industry as a chemist. For many years I moved through the technical ranks finally heading up the technical group which then enabled me to travel extensively overseas auditing a lot of factory operations. From there I branched into logistics, operations management and finally to general management. I now manage Blackmores Ltd as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager. Blackmores is Australia’s leading health supplement (vitamins, mineral and herbal preparations) company. We have a excellent website.
I have a great life with close family and friends…no husband (always on the look out though!), no children. I live in a large house in Chatswood in Sydney so there is plenty of room for guests should you visit Australia. Between work, family, travel and shopping I find to time to get away from it all on my boat…love going out swimming and fishing.
My brother Raymond (wife, 3 children) lives in Taipei, Taiwan. Sally (husband, 2 children) lives in Sydney down the street from me so we are best friends. Mia (husband) lives north in the Gold Coast, Australia. Mum (“Energizer Bunny” Tait) loves to travel but when in Sydney she lives with me. Speaking of travel, I get back to Malaysia regularly both privately and on business and I am heading up there again mid January on my way to a much anticipated trip to Italy with Sally, Ross, Jordan, Angus and Mum.
To sum up, life has been good and, borrowing from my graduation quote, the tapestry of my life has been enriched by many experiences.
